LOUISE'S KITCHEN
Delicious breakfast and brunch food. You can enjoy your meal either inside or on their covered outside porch with stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains while you eat!

TRAILHEAD RESTAURANT
Amazing burgers, sandwiches, seafood, soups and salads, and all sorts of entrees. Recommendations - try the "Lover's Leap" if you like crab cakes or the "Appalachian Trail" if you want a healthy kale dish that delicious. I don't even like kale, and I LOVE this! ;) Their "Trailblazer Burger" is very good. If you're going for dinner, get there EARLY! It gets busy fast!

BLACK MOUNTAIN BISTRO
Wonderful atmosphere to eat inside or out on the porch. Lots of beautiful photography hanging on the walls of Black Mountain nature shots. Excellent burgers, salads, & soups. You can't go wrong here.

BLUE RIDGE BISCUIT COMPANY
Their biscuits are so good they should be criminal! Delicious breakfast all around, but you have to try one of their "Twisted Biscuits." Some of our favorites are "The Lookout," "The Grey Beard," and their waffles.

FOOTHILLS GRANGE
Such a cool outside atmosphere w/ games to play for little kids. Classic burgers and hot dogs joint, but phenomenal quality! Try to "Foothills Smash Burger" or their Hot dogs. Right in the heart of all the shops.

OLE'S GUACAMOLES
Outstanding Mexican food! And yes - their name is not overselling it. Their guacamole is so good you can hurt yourself eating too much. Everything here is delicious. Note: the photos on their website (as of March 2025) are of their old location. They are in a cream-colored stucco building now. They have 3 locations (1 in Asheville, 1 in Johnson City, TN, and one in Black Mountain). You want the one in Black Mountain on W. State Street)

FRESH WOOD FIRED PIZZA
Mouth-watering pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, and salads! Very nice atmosphere also. We LOVE this place when we're in the mood for pizza!

THE PURE & PROPER
Transparently, we've not eaten here yet, but it's on the top of our list. It is one of the most aesthetically beautiful buildings in all of Black Mountain, and we have heard GREAT things about their food.

MY FATHER'S PIZZA & PASTA
Another very cool restaurant in Black Mountain with amazing atmosphere, inside and out. There a nice walking path that goes beside and behind the building that's lit up with beautiful lights at night. And their food is delicious. Our kids LOVE it, and so do we!

THE DRIPOLATOR COFFEEHOUSE
A very unique coffeehouse with excellent coffee and treats. Not a ton of seating on the inside, as you might expect, but you might rather sit outside. If you walk out the front door and look immediately to your right, this is one of the best views in all of Black Mountain. You look down the street towards all the shops and the mountains tower over everything. It's beautiful!

DYNAMITE ROASTING COMPANY
We LOVE buying their whole-bean coffee. Our personal favorite is the "Mexico Chiapas Altura." It's a medium coffee and you can taste the slightest hint of chocolate. It's very mild and low acidity. But you can't go wrong with any of their flavors. We also provide our guests with a few Keurig pods from Dynamite Roasting so you can sample for yourself. Or, if you'd prefer to purchase the whole bean, we have you covered with a grinder and pour-over set up in the coffee station in our kitchen.
